Jim serves as the Administrator of The Youth & Family Institute
in Bloomington, MN. He brings energy and insights to The Youth &
Family Institute, helping the organization reach its full potential.
Jim received his Masters of Management Arts degree from Metropolitan
State University where he received specialized training in organizational
development, team building, and strategic planning.
For the past 20 years, Jim has served a variety of congregations
and has helped a multitude of churches establish gifts-based ministry
programs, small groups, and dynamic youth and family ministry programs.
Jim also consults with congregations, helping them with strategic
planning, change management, marketing, youth and family ministry,
and planning youth mission trips.
Since September, 1989, Jim has been married to Gina (Luhman) who
works as a 6th grade language arts teacher in Eagan. They have two
young boys, Brett and Kenton. As a family, they enjoy travel, camping,
board games and are very involved at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church,
their home congregation.
Some of Jim favorite pastimes include kayaking, digital photography,
downhill skiing and being a "faith shaper" in the lives of young
people.
